The Jülich Scalable Particle-In-Cell (JuSPIC) Code is a development based on Hartmut Ruhl's PSC (dating back at least 4 years). It aims to be better scaling and ready for the Exascale era.

Status

Since the main focus of JuSPIC is on exploring new programming models, hardware architectures and algorithmic improvements, JuSPIC is under continuous, sometimes messy development. We try to publish usable, cleaner versions from time to time. Feature requests or contributed improvements are welcome and we encourage you to make use of the ticket system.

Documentation

Proper documentation is still to come. Because of JuSPIC's main motivation, we will never compete with other similar projects as far as documentation is concerned. For a first idea, the included README files will hopefully help a little. Running JuSPIC without a necessary input file will also create a template with some comments. Unfortunately, for anything else you will have to rely on direct support from the ​Simulation Laboratory for Plasma Physics (SLPP) or dig into the source code and figure it out.

Access to the source

The source code is available via svn. It is not promised to be updated regularly - please ask for new versions if you feel there should be one.

• snapshot: contains copies from the development branch for substantial changes, updated features, etc. These may or may not work correctly but should compile.

You can access the subversion repositories using these URLs

So to checkout snapshot, use

with anonymous as username and password.
